Close Mounting Suggestions For the LGM LED Grow Light

Light bars emit a "cone" of light from each individual light emitting diode (LED) which then must be blended with
neighboring LEDs in the cluster.  If the blending is incomplete because the LEDs are mounted too close to the plant,
each section of a given plant leaf will only receive part of the light spectrum the LED grow light is designed to deliver.
The combination of LEDs in each light cluster in turn emit essentially a single cone of light from each cluster.  The
spread of each cone is approximately 45 degrees from the center point of each light cluster.  Only plant material in
each light cone will grow.
Our indoor grow lights utilize targeted
wavelengths and are ideally mounted between 12" (30cm) to 42" (106cm)
above the plant canopy depending on the model you are using.  If your LED grow light must be mounted closer than
the minimum distance required for proper light blending (29cm) they should not be mounted directly above the plants.
Close mounting requires placing the LED growing lights at an angle.  This may be necessary if you are using a shelf
space for vertical gardening.   If there is no space available for angling the LEDs- call LGM for a diffuser.
Light Bar Mounting Option A

Light Bar Mounting Option B
Better
The further from the plants that
you can mount the LED bars the
more coverage you can achieve
from LGM indoor grow lights.  In
some applications, LED indoor
grow lights can be mounted on
an adjacent wall to allow the
distance required to cover two
or more shelves.  LGM LED
plant lighting is extremely
versatile.
